Teresa took a few weeks away from the studio to revisit her old stomping grounds in Spain and the UK with her family.

Here is a photo stream of some of her adventures. She is now back in Portland and in the swing of things in the studio. What a great trip!

In anticipation.

Simple geometry.

Familiar shores.

More familiar shores.

Peek from a train on a rainy day. No sights (or Shards!) like these in New England!

On a sunny day, it's hard NOT to take this photo.

Dusk at the National Theatre. (Yes, Theatre, not Theater!).

The London Transport Museum is always a favorite.

Again, the National Theater. Teresa's dear friend Tom, also an architect, is an Associate of the ever-inspiring firm Haworth Tompkins architects, who have been doing extensive renovations and new construction at this landmark for many years now.

South London gets ready for some pretty hefty regeneration. Teresa remembers sitting on the train at this station years ago, watching a mail man walk up and down this building, delivering mail to each indivdual door....

Jean Nouvel's new shopping centre has a pretty impressive rooftop, where you come face to face with the dome of St. Paul's cathedral, along with some great long views across the river.

Homeward bound. A great trip!
